LAX on the Lake

Cameron had a tournament in lacrosse today. we had to be on the field @ 9am. Pretty early to be concentrating on any sport if you ask me. But we traveled to Penn Yan and spent the day at the Keuka College sports field. Our team had 4 games; they were cut into 2 twelve minute halves. And then about an hour or two of down time between each game. Horseheads had their own tent set up for us to grill hot dogs and speedies. The weather had predicted rain, but it was a great day up until the end. Our last game was at 1:30 and it had just started to rain then. Downpoured on the way home but we still managed to stop and check out The Windmill. What a nice little place. Lots of little shops and garden ideas. Very popular place to visit during the summer months. So we finally rolled in about 3:30 or so. The two little ones had been home with a babysitter all day. It would not have been an enjoyable trip trying to chase them all over and keep them occupied at a lacrosse field for 8 hours, ugh! Mike and I were able to sit and enjoy every moment of Cameron's games.

Cameron age 10. Cameron is in fourth grade and enjoys art, science, and helping the challenged children in school. He is very busy during the year playing lacrosse and footbal.
Lydia age 4. Soon to be 5. Lydia is in Pre-K and enjoys playing soccer and is now interested in taking horseback riding lessons.
Matthew age 2. and oh is he all 2! He enjoys testing mom's patience every day, chasing the cat and tormenting his brother and sister.
All in all these are my pride and joy! Motherhood is not for everyone and everyonce and awhile i question "was i crazy?" but then i hear that little voice say "mommy" and i know i made the right choice. May God bless each mother every moment of every day for what you do.
Good Morning! i recently read my cousin Julia's blog regarding Arizona. it is currently scorpion season out there and soon enough it will be 115 degrees, yuck! they must check their sheets and clothes before putting them on and must wear shoes at all times to avoid getting stung! i have several family members out there who must deal with this dilema. Us New Yorkers think we have it so bad! yes we deal with minus zero temperatures and lots of rain. and in the summer and occational small brown ant on the floor, but a scorpion! Hello! i would be out of there in a flash! okay i dont mind bugs. the kids and i bug hunt several times during the summer months and i will be the first one to pick up a snake. but again- SCORPIONS! run! run to New York fast. Julia we would love to have you guys here. but if you can tolerate it, i will gladly send you some chickens! lol! and slippers!
